We have been looking for new vehicle for most of Q1. There has been some vehicle available but not many with air con or the size was too small. Dealers could only offer factory order which can take 10 months or longer for new transit (and other brands). Brokers were the only alternative for new vehicles. Due to supply chain issues number of new vehicles registered reduced significantly. Various makes and models have been offered however when it came to finally preparing for collection they turned out to be different spec in system than real life. This is a deal breaker for us, can’t imagine working without A/C, even now when temperature hovers around 18C.
Finally we found this new Transit L3 H3 cancelled order, highway maintenance spec. Normally we try to have plenty of driver comfort options on vans however this vehicle was not ordered for us specifically, it does have the absolute must A/C and Bluetooth but it is still awaiting parking aid.
On the bright side we can now enter strict delivery sites with our flashing beacons π§ In addition this van comes with a tow bar.

Addition of this new Transit brings our fleet to 3 Fords. Drivers do like the cab. Many features designed with driver in mind like large drink holder placed all over the space. Based on the current opinion of our driving team we will be looking for more Ford’s.
Ipswich based couriers usually spread out and cover most of East Anglia. On this sunny Thursday morning everyone was in the same area with time to spear between jobs. We all agreed best thing to do is team bonding with warm coffees.
Luton on two person job, MWB transit on muiltidrop and small courier waiting for next job. Only vehicle missing is our LWB Boxer which was being serviced that day.
Our fleet can be used for vast diversity of jobs, from small parcels π¦to palletised goods πor ever 2 person crew π. We often take goods to furthest corners of this country, back in December Sprinter Luton went to Cornwall, Wales and Scotland in the same week. Each van averages 1,200 miles per week, this year we expect to cover over 250k miles in total.

Biggest trip of this year so far for Suffolk courier offering nation wide coverage. Ipswich to Edinburgh (400miles). Urgent goods on two pallets as pictured below. Luckily this luton van has a bed for driver to sleep in making this journey a lot more pleasant. Goods were light and secured with straps to stop it from sliding side to side as well as pushed against the wall and blocked with pump truck with a wheel chock on the other end.
Our diverse fleet is suitable for any load, this luton is usually carrying 2-3 pallets as customers need the tail lift rather then high or heavy payload. As Suffolk courier we have majority of deliveries in this area however some vans do go all over the country. The fleet includes: Courier Transit, MWB and LWB Transit, Boxer XLWB and Sprinter Luton with tail lit. We also use plenty of subcontractors with different vehicle sizes.
Luton body allows us to take high volume loads and thanks to tail lift we can deliver it anywhere. The addition of a sleeping pod with night heater means driver can go anywhere in the country and be rested for next day even if all local hotels are booked.
